PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE TOWN OF BETHEL PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION PHASE 3.2, STONY HILL SEWER PROJECT PROPOSED SEWER BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS The Public Utilities Commission of the Town of Bethel, Connecticut pursuant to the provision of Sections 7-249 and 7-250 of the Connecticut General Statutes will hold a Public Hearing on January 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Center, 1 School Street, Bethel, CT – General Purpose Room, for the purpose of receiving public comment with respect to the proposed levy of sewer benefit assessments upon properties especially benefited by the availability of sewers in Phase 3.2 of the Stony Hill Sewer Project. At such hearing the public and the owners of all properties against which a proposed benefit assessment may be levied shall have an opportunity to be heard thereon. The properties affected by the proposed benefit assessments are located at Benedict Road: #47, Birch Drive: #5, #6, #8, #10 through #18, #20 through #24, #26 through #30, Garella Road: #10 through #16, #18 through #26, #28 through #37, #39, #41, Maple Row: #3 through #6, #8, through #26, #28, #30, #32, #34, #36, #38, #40, Payne Road: #6, #10, #14, #18, #22, #28, #30, #32, Shelter Rock Road: #19, #21, #23, Vail Road: #12. It is anticipated that when established, the benefit assessment may be payable, at the option of the property owner, in equal annual installments over 25 years, said installment to be together with interest on the unpaid principal amount of such assessments. The purpose of the benefit assessments is to recover projects costs incurred to date, with future project costs to be recovered through the levy of additional benefit assessments. Properties that subsequently are served by Phase 3.2 of the Stony Hill Sewer Project, and benefited properties that after October 1, 2007 are subdivided or improved so as to change the number or character of their existing uses, shall be subject to the levy of a benefit assessment or a supplemental benefit assessment calculated in the manner established by the Commission. A copy of the proposed benefit assessments shall be available for public inspection at the Office of the Bethel Town Clerk, Hurgin Municipal Center, 1 School Street, Bethel, CT not later than December 29th, 2015. PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING NOTICE Homeland Towers LLC (“Homeland” and Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless (“Cellco”) (collectively, the “Applicant”) will host a Public Information Meeting on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Brookfield Town Hall, Meeting Room 133, 100 Pocono Road in Brookfield, CT to discuss plans to construct a wireless telecommunications facility on Town property behind the Brookfield Fire Department building at 100 Pocono Road. The Applicant proposes to construct a 150-foot monopole tower and install a 12′ x 30′ steel platform to support its radio equipment cabinets and a back-up generator. A 500 gallon propane tank will also be installed in the corner of the facility compound. All improvements will be located within a 75′ x 75′ leased area. The Town of Brookfield will install emergency service antennas at the top of the tower. The telecommunications facility described above is under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Connecticut Siting Council pursuant to the provisions of Section 16-50g et seq. of the General Statutes.
