Bethel Business: ‘The Toy Room’ Is Given Rave Reviews on Their Tenth Anniversary
The Toy Room, located at 153 Greenwood Ave #3, in the center of one of the main business areas in Bethel Ct., has gotten high praise in an article on IndependentRetailer.com, and we couldn’t agree more.
As business owner Kim Ramsey celebrates the tenth year in Bethel, The Toy Room just seems to get better an better. The creative front windows of the store make the town of Bethel proud and the selection of merchandise is amazing. Definitely the go-to for toys in Bethel! Maybe her secret to success is that she sources her inventory from Connecticut-based manufacturers when she finds unique items. We love that!
Ramsey is always a familiar and friendly face to most residents too, perhaps because she is always participating in many town events. She is always doing something wonderful during town celebrations, sidewalk sales events, WinterFest and SummerFest events, and is a strong supporter of the Bethel Chamber of Commerce. The Halloween costumes she wears during “Trick or Treat Street” always bring smiles. (See photo above of Ramsey as a cupcake.)
Ramsey also offers personalized service to her customers for finding just the right gift … over the phone! … where the customer trusts that Ramsey will choose just the right gift for them (if they can’t make it to the store), a gift based on whom the gift is for (boy or girl and the age of the child and other details) and it is gift wrapped and ready to be picked up when the customer arrives! How many local stores do that nowadays? Ramsey calls it her “concierge service.”
Ramsey said, “It kind of started with one person calling me and saying, ‘I have a weird question for you… if I were to ask you to pick out a gift, could you wrap it and have it ready for me to pick up later and I can give you my credit card number?’ ‘ … ‘I have to say, those are may favorite calls,’ Ramsey laughs.” (the Independent Retailer article states).
The Toy Room is also on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter where you can find her latest posts about new merchandise, special offers and events.
We wish Kim Ramsey and The Toy Room a Happy Tenth Anniversary and many more!
