May 7, 2015 — Attention all residents and business owners opposing the proposed Crematorium in Clarke Business Park:
We have decided to hold a protest rally this Saturday, May 9, at 1:00p.m. on the corner of Greenwood Avenue and Library Place (in front of the library) rain or shine (weather is supposed to be sunny).
Please tell everyone you know, and bring signs (hand made)……. or email email@example.com for signage pdf files and then bring to Staples or similar instant printer, to make 24″ by 36″ signs for yourself (cost $3 for that size, on paper, then attach/staple to cardboard)….or print the 8″X10″ flyer on a computer and spread the word about the protest rally and public hearing. I am NOT requiring anyone to print anything, just if you wish to do so :-). I am making same signs and flyer.
Please sign the petition if you have not done so….we need only ONE more name to make 200 names (and we won’t stop there). I am planning on re-submitting the petition names to the P&Z on May 12, with the additional names.
PLEASE also attend this IMPORTANT Planning & Zoning Commission (P&Z) PUBLIC HEARING on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at 7PM in the Denis Riordan Room D of the the Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center, 1 School Street, Bethel CT. You can voice your opinion to the P&Z and also learn what others have to say.
Here is the petition link, please share: https://www.change.org/p/town-of-bethel-do-not-allow-a-crematorium-incineration-of-human-remains-in-bethel-ct-clarke-business-park-or-anywhere-in-vicinity-do-not-change-the-zoning-permit-which-prevents-this-type-of-business
This fight is not over! I hope you will attend the protest rally. We need to show how many people oppose this issue so we can STOP THE CREMATORIUM and protect our air, water and soil….and HEALTH and REAL ESTATE values….and also save our business park and town! Business owners in Clarke Busness Park have already started leaving, putting their properties up for sale! A crematorium also will NOT likely draw new business to the park.
We need your participation in the protest rally and the public meeting….thank you so much.
