WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON…

Winter Storm Watch in effect from March 12, 08:00 PM EDT until March 13, 06:00 PM EDT

* WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are possible. Northerly winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts 35 to 45 mph possible.

* WHERE…Fairfield, New Haven Counties in southern Connecticut and Nassau and western Suffolk Counties in southeast New York.

* WHEN…From Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Tuesday. Significant reductions in visibility are possible. Downed trees, tree limbs
and power outages possible due to heavy wet snow and wind.

Increasing clouds, with a high near 42. Wind chill values between 25 and 35. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Snow, mainly after 8pm. Low around 30. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Tuesday
Snow, mainly before 2pm. High near 39. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
