Bethel Public Schools Afternoon Activities Canceled, Snow In Forecast

Message from Bethel Public Schools:

All Bethel Public Schools after school and evening activities, including Park & Recreations after care program are canceled for today, Monday, January 08, 2018.

National Weather Forecast for the local Tri-State Region:

As a cold front approaches the area today, light wintry precipitation is expected to develop out ahead of the front this afternoon. Along the coast, expect a wintry mix of snow, sleet and possibly freezing rain, while inland locations will most likely remain as snow. A coating to a half an inch of snowfall is expected before the precipitation comes to an end this evening. Any ice accretion will be light. High temperatures will range from the upper 20s inland to the 30s along the coast.

Dry weather returns on Tuesday, along with temperatures closer to normal for early January.
